Day 360: Winning a Jansport Superbreak backpack, Coors Light Jean Claude Van Damme Advert and Being rickrolled again by Dom!

A couple of weeks ago I was doing research and stumbled upon this competition Jansport was promoting to win one of their Superbreak backpacks. I had time, and hope… but little did I know I had luck on my side as well =) Got this email today and found out that I actually won =D Hurrraaayyyy! Thanks guys. G-r-a-t-e Grateful! / This Coors Light ad just… Oh, it cracks me up every. single. night! hahaha. Grateful for the laughs and cheap thrills. Take my breath away *boom boom* /  Today, I got rickrolled good! Nice one Dom! 😉 / The moment Kim kisses her bodyguard… a whole new Dash episode I’ve never seen before… =O something to be grateful for… but no one can know!! =O =P

Day 347: Hanging with Sue at the American Club, Finding spare earphones at home, Nabbing the one spare table at Starbuck’s, Green Naked smoothies, The day my printer cable arrived and TriYoga!

Ok, so technically I wasn’t exactly with Sue at the American Club in Singapore… But I might as well have been! 😉 Grateful! Thanks for the time, chica! Miss you! / Grateful I found this spare set of earphones lying on the floor of our living room. My last ones are busted! / You know that feeling when you spot the last spare table at a really busy restaurant or cafe… and your heart starts to race as you look around really quickly to see if anyone has noticed… and then absolutely running for it to claim what is now rightfully yours…? Yea. That. I love that! 😉 / Naked’s super green antioxidant smoothies. I love! Iron in a bottle. Hurray! / Well whatdya know! My printer cable actually arrived! Wehey! / TriYoga… possibly couldn’t get any more different in terms of look, feel, space, mood from Indaba… But there is something characteristically charming about this place. Look at it! =) Just signed up for a 2 week tester to take a whole bunch of …

Day 334: Little creatures, Lunch break freedom, Pictures that will restore your faith in humanity, Catching up with my momma, Embody Wellness Studio, The summer solstice and The day I finally understood why the chicken crossed the road…

Dear world, today is the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. Many people are celebrating today because of this. I know my yoga studio was offering a special summer solstice event where people do 108 sun salutations as an offering. At first I was pretty bummed I couldn’t make it. I have been practicing at home the last 2 weeks to save money and give myself time to focus on my own ambitions and various other projects in life… what I did not expect was to visit Embody Wellness studio for an interview and be given a 90 min comp class for free. So I got to practice during the summer solstice after all! =) And you know what the best part was? The opening intention was all about… you guessed it, GRATITUDE! I could not help but smile at the wonderful serendipity of it all. And I couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you for this opportunity. Thank you Paul and Anya. It was a pleasure meeting you today. And hopefully this is …

Day 333: Kazi from Starbucks, Lunchtime productivity and my 1hr catch up with Dani…

To the man called Kazi from Starbucks… thank you so much for giving me my half-price frappuccino and free dose of soya milk today. Totally unexpected. And totally grateful =D / Team work makes the dream work… Indeed! lunchtime #futureplanning… GRATEFUL! / Dani, grateful for our random 1hr catch up on the phone today. Hurray! =) x

Day 293: Friday night chillin’ on my roof, Booking my flights back to NYC, Late night trips to Ikea with Kat and Getting us home, safe!

Grateful for the amazing weather this evening, and for being able to take my beanbag out onto the roof to capture and soak up this view =) / Grateful for all the traveling I have done this year, and all the miles I have accrued. Because today, I just got me a virtually free flight to New York City. This Christmas is gonna be a good one. I. cannot. wait. =D / Grateful for all our new lamps and mirrors and throws from Ikea. Our home, it just gets better and better =) / Tonight, I was reminded yet again to always, always, follow my gut. Let’s just say I am extremely grateful for the moment I pulled up in front of our house and finally announced ‘We are home!’. Lights, camera, action.

Day 277: Birthday pressies from work, My new freeview box, Lama Gyurme and The Offering Chant…

Thank you everyone at work for my birthday pressies! / Thank you, Graham, for the extra free, freeview box! TV at last, hurray! / The Offering Chant, by Lama Gyurme, is without doubt one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. Forget about trying to understand the lyrics and translation… Be open, be receptive, and the meaning will present itself to you as a very intimate, and very personal experience in the deepest recesses of your heart and soul. Decipher it by feeling, not by thinking. x

Day 238: Long-ass layovers, Getting up to speed on my blogs, My iPad, the AA Admirals Club and MasterCard’s Free WiFi Zone at JFK…

Ok, I’ll keep this short but sweet. Today I’m grateful for long-ass layovers. Long-ass layovers means time to reflect, time to get back up to speed with this blog, and plenty of time to read Autobiography of a Yogi, which has been impossible to put down except to write this blog (something, in case you haven’t noticed, I am equally passionate about! Apart from furthering my yogic studies that is :p ). / Grateful for the AA Admirals Club, not because I can get in, but because from the outside, it’s the perfect place to steal a bit of free WiFi if you know where to sit 😉 It might be slow and frequently cut off as it’s sensitive to the throng of moving bodies around Miami airport and JFK. But at least it’s something! / Further grateful for the airport officer that informed me of the MasterCard WiFi lounge ‘just around the corner’ (:p) from where I’d been sitting near the AA Admirals Lounge. Another good reason all travelers should invest in a MasterCard-endorsed Cash …

Day 195: Finishing my yoga essays, Viber and Labrinth…

Grateful I’ve finally finished and sent off the two yoga assignments that have been sitting in the back of my head for a while! / Grateful for Viber. Viber = free phone calls = more conversations with momma, poppa, alix and kanchan! Anyone else wanna hop onboard? =) It’s FREE!!! / Today is Labrinth appreciation day. Click here for original version of ‘Let the sun shine’. And here for acoustic version. Happy Friday! Enjoy =) x

Day 193: When family and friends call in a sickie to see thee and the HK$6000 Scheme…

I will not mention names, but I am extremely grateful for all those people that have purposefully taken the time off today and tomorrow,  just to spend time with me for the 24 hours I am in Hong Kong. I’m grateful for the people that woke up especially early today so they could hop on a ferry at 9 am in the morning to visit me on my little island hideaway, and spend time with me before a potentially significant job interview back in town at noon. Grateful for the people that have/will call in sick tomorrow just so that they can see me off, again. There are no words to describe how…unworthy and undeserving this makes me feel. But also how extremely grateful and overwhelmed I am because of it. Thank you. Thank you for your time. Thank you for your company. Thank you for your effort. Thank you for your friendship. Thank you for your love. / Extremely grateful for being a HK resident that has successfully qualified for the HK$6, 000 scheme. …
