A couple of weeks ago I was doing research and stumbled upon this competition Jansport was promoting to win one of their Superbreak backpacks. PS – in all seriousness, thanks Graham for helping me reach up for the bubble wrap today! Meant my phone got to Mazuma nice and safe! =) / Samsung Galaxy Love Notes – might not be able to speak so much for the phone itself, but I will say I am grateful for the latest promo campaign that lets you send love-inspired postcards for free =) Now we wait. x / Inspirational quote for the day:¬†‚Äé”Goals in writing are dreams with deadlines.” – Brian Tracy. Now off to work! / Inspirational video of the day: Watch the ‘World’s Largest Rope Swing’. It’s friggin’ awesome! I kinda wanna be their friend… Just a little bit. x

Day 112: Club de Fromage, Cold Leftover Pizza and the John Lewis Christmas Ad…

Grateful for Club de Fromage – the blue cheese, gorgonzola and stinking bishop of all cheese fests. Loved every friggin’ stinkin’ moment of it! / If anything is going to pull at your heartstrings this Christmas, this ad will be it. =) Captured here, is a very precise feeling and memory I believe we can all relate to. Wonderful and heartwarming. Well done, Adam & Eve. / Jo, thanks for preparing dinner and heating up the pizzas, onion bhajis and samosas. Though I don’t think these were anywhere near as fully appreciated as they were at 4am in the morning! =p

Day 108: Fresh Peppermint Tea, Carte Noire's Man Cafe, Hot Mugs, The Batman Family and the word "Sanative"…

I love it when you have a hot mug radiating between your frozen hands. / I love it when your tea is so hot you can feel the steam cool and condense on your face, like a mobile steam bath. / I love peppermint tea, especially with a bit of honey squidged into it! / I love Carte Noire’s latest campaign and for having a “Mel Gibson in¬†What Women Want”¬†moment of inspiration. Ladies (and Gentlemen!), may I introduce to you: the Man Cafe. Hel-lo Mr Cool! Sigh. As if I couldn’t love coffee any more! / Mom, Dad, Alix – thank you for being so persistent and continuing to ping me and ping me and ping me at work until I finally switched on my webcam. This made my day. You crazy chicks. I love you. x / Word of the day: Sanative – conducive to physical or spiritual health and well-being; healing. Glad this flashed up on our screensaver today. Now that’s a word I won’t be forgetting any time soon =)

Day 107: The Reel, Irresistible, The Caboodle Collective and Pizza East…

Grateful for being invited to attend The Reel event at Cafe 1001 tonight. Free entry. Free wine. Free films = Good company. Good talent. Good show. Good night! / Grateful for the time I spent at Irresistible as a fresh fish out of uni – so eager and goddamn determined! Great to see you guys doing well and I love the new set-up =) To be introduced to the new marketing/PR manager and have her say “Oh, so YOU’RE¬†Krissa – the one that got away!” was one of the highlights and most rewarding moments of my day. So thanks! =) / Thank you for choosing my design/concept for the Caboodle Collective. It still gets me every time =) / Thanks Kat for flashing your magic key and getting us into Pizza East for cheap. Although, it was so good I would have paid full price for it anyway! Will have to come back next time when it’s a bit earlier to try out the rest of the menu and dessert! =p

Day 103: Muller's Wunderful Stuff, Graham Crackers, ¬£1 coins and the thrill of attending a new yoga class…

So I have a love-hate relationship with the new Muller Wunderful Stuff ad campaign. I love Muller yoghurt (though admittedly I haven’t actually bought Muller-branded yoghurt in a while!). I love the TV commercial, which is the most epic production I have seen in a long long time. I love how I pre-empted the craze and just knew¬†from the second I saw the first opening shots of the ad, that this campaign was going to be “friggin HUGE!” (¬£20m huge to be precise!) And now, 3 weeks after it apparently aired simultaneously across 60 difference channels (anyone say friggin HUGE??), I love-hate how it’s following me and turning up everywhere I go: on big ass billboards near Finsbury Park; alongside motorways on the way to and from Cardiff; on the front, back and inner front and inner back sections of a freebie magazine… This ad is everywhere I look!! It’s distribution and cultural penetration is every marketer’s dream… ¬†I love it. It’s almost sickening how much I love it. I’m just jealous. Because this is …

Day 67: My first ever live football match & Your Mum!

Arsenal 2. Olympiakos 1 – The final score of my first ever football match. What fun!! =D Highlights of the evening: Getting Jo to explain to me, in less than 10 minutes and on the way to the game, what the difference is between the Champions League and the Premiere League; swiping in for free; practically front-row seats; witnessing my first goal at 8 mins into the game and having a semi-late, half-subdued reaction; witnessing my second goal and finding that in the last twelve minutes, it’s become inherently natural for me to jump out of my seat with the crowd, roar, and throw my fists in the air like a pro; listening to outspoken guy behind us throwing profanities and offering his own personal commentary throughout the 90-minute game; watching footballers stretch and warm-up less than 10 metres away – and admiring the view at that!; sliding off the edge of my seat in anticipation and glued excitement, gripping the seat in front of me for support (and feeling Joanna’s hands pull my shoulders …

Day 33: Account Management 101, a company of GIANTS and Me-Time…

It’s been great being an Account Manager and having a team to take care of, but sometimes… even managers need to take a back seat and be schooled. As the famous David Ogilvy once said: “If each of us hires people who are smaller than we are, we shall become a company of dwarfs. But if each of us hires people who are bigger than we are, we shall become a company of giants.” I suppose we are, all, giants in the making. Thanks Louis =) * On a separate note, it has been a very long and ridiculously jam-packed couple of weeks. Am actually looking forward to some down time with me, myself and I. Thank you, self, for being such great company. You caught that fall pretty well. =) P.S. How do you like THEM apples! =p
